<Jarvis> Then after it back uniball, we started getting more and more players and finally one day i just asked C: to op me cause I felt I could help and he did.
<Ironman> What are you current involvements with uniball? I know at one time you were in charge of the admins?
<Jarvis> Yeah, I was "head admin" I guess it would be called for awhile there. Being so just added to the amount of msgs both in game and out that I had to deal with though, and got to see alot of people completely change when talking to me cause of it
<Jarvis> so I gave it up and took a break for awhile
<Jarvis> Now.. well I guess I'm just another admin
<Ironman> What do you think is the best and worst aspect of uniball?

<Ironman> What changes would you like to see in the future of uniball?
<Jarvis> Mostly performace tweaks when it comes to the game itself.

<Ironman> Do you still consider yourself a competitive player in the game or do you just play at times for fun?
<Jarvis> heh, well I haven't laddered in who knows how long. And I'm just fine with that as I feel the ladder hasn't been a good or competative thing for awhile. Now I usually just play in BB vs games so just for fun...
<Jarvis> do I still consider myself good enough to be competitive?
<Jarvis> it depends day to day really... I would say I've defiantly lost some skill I used to have

<Jarvis> But on a good day, and in a team game I feel I can add just as much to a team as most people

<Jarvis> hrm.. I don't really have any strategies persay
<Jarvis> more of a style of play I guess
<Jarvis> I'm usually a decent enough defender
<Jarvis> and I'm an advocate of clearing the ball if you don't have a pass
<Ironman> that's DD style as well
<Jarvis> I think that's pretty much old player style heh
<Ironman> Who do you enjoy playing with the most and why?
<Jarvis> BB of course! otherwise I wouldn't vote for the members to join and or invite them to try and join (BB is still a 100% yes vote to get in)
<Jarvis> so we all like each other and are able to have fun 99% of the time
<Jarvis> Me and gael have been playing a long time together too
<Jarvis> so it's always fun to be in a game with him cause we're usually thinking pretty much the same thing
<Ironman> Do you see your squad a top contender for the number one spot?
<Jarvis> Um...
<Jarvis> If BB was a competitive squad, in that we practiced ever.. or had a real drive to try and get top spot I think we could go pretty far
<Jarvis> We're a pretty laid back, don't care much about laddering squads though
<Jarvis> so if we just entered ladder now we'd probably just be taken off in a week or two from inactivity
<Jarvis> as we usually are when one of the members has me sign up on ladder :p

<Ironman> Tell us a little history of your squad?
<Jarvis> well, it is truly the 1st squad ever made in x-pong
<Jarvis> therefore the first squad ever for uniball :p
<Jarvis> we were called mpod at first I believe
<Jarvis> might paddles of death
<Jarvis> (in xpong you had paddle ships that hit the ball, no grabbing and shooting)
<Jarvis> And pharcyde started it
<Jarvis> and then had a few of us join it
<Jarvis> we've had C: in the squad
<Jarvis> nickw was in it for awhile i believe
<Jarvis> so both the creators
<Jarvis> We merged with fudu about i dunno a year ago or more
<Jarvis> after one of the long outages of uniball
<Ironman> yes you guys were on the top of ladder 4awhile during that time
<Jarvis> we came back and BB only had like 3 or so players
<Jarvis> and i looked at gael
<Jarvis> and he looked at me
<Jarvis> and we decided hey why not
<Jarvis> i like all your players
<Jarvis> your players like mine
<Jarvis> so we did it
<Jarvis> we lot a few players from both squad from the merger
<Jarvis> but overall I feel it was a good decision for the time
<Jarvis> Now we're the squad "where players go to retire"
<Jarvis> as I've seen others say
<Jarvis> which is fine with me, BB has always been attitude first skill 2nd
<Jarvis> and we have fun together which is all that matters
<Ironman> Can we expect to see BB as top contending squad sometime in future?
<Ironman> You guys surely have the skill and experience
<Jarvis> Never count BB out
<Jarvis> we have no current plans to join the ladder, but you never know what will happen
<Ironman> What uniball match do you remember the most? Perhaps a ladder match?
<Jarvis> well I don't really remember any match as far as what exactly happened in the match
<Jarvis> but favorite memories of games
<Jarvis> probably the first tournament
<Jarvis> BB vs phear for finals
<Jarvis> those were fun games
<Jarvis> first time I saw gael shoot his bitch shot was pretty funny and cool ;p
<Jarvis> (where he shoots from side of goal in hockey and bounces off the inside of the goalie to go in)

<Ironman> yeah you never get tired of seeing that shot
<Ironman> What squads do you admire today and why?
<Jarvis> Any squad that has been along for awhile I admire
<Jarvis> therefore DD
<Jarvis> and the others
<Jarvis> can't think of any off the top of my head

<Jarvis> and DD is right there next to your name so I can see it easily :p

<Ironman> What is your opinion on the community and squads now? Have they changed?
<Jarvis> Well.....
<Jarvis> there are more squads now
<Jarvis> and there are more squads that are created and then killed within a week now
<Jarvis> And it's always good that there are new squads popping up, it's sad that none of them seem to ever last more then a few days
<Jarvis> And maybe it's just me losing my memory
<Jarvis> but it used to be just a handful of squads really, and not every new person created a new squad right away
<Jarvis> they tried to get in existing ones instead
<Jarvis> Then again there are more people playing know so
<Jarvis> that's bound to happen
<Jarvis> same with community, the fewer the people there were, the closer knit people were and the less problems there were
<Jarvis> getting more people is always good for a game to stay alive though

<Jarvis> I really don't know. I'm not a big forum guy at all and that's where alot of the "what do you think of so and so" talk goes on I feel.

<Ironman> There seems to be a huge division in the uniball community; There are the people who just race and the people who just hockey. What is your take on that?
<Jarvis> it's hilarous

<Jarvis> see no point in it all
<Jarvis> So they want to race... so what?
<Jarvis> Do I race? no...
<Jarvis> I've done maybe 3 or 4
<Jarvis> and it was enjoyable but I couldn't see doing it alot
<Jarvis> that doesn't mean I think that if you race all day and that's all you do you should leave
<Jarvis> there are people who give racing a bad name
<Jarvis> but if you break it down, neither side is harming the other
<Jarvis> only individuals are causing any problems
<Ironman> some people fear that racing will replace the hockey side of uniball since most newer players play only rancing
<Jarvis> the hockey side will never go away
<Jarvis> the racing side may become huge, and obscure the hockey side, but the hockey side will never go away
<Ironman> Ok well then lastly what are your opinion on taco bell?
<Jarvis> knock on wood :p
<Jarvis> taco bell is disgusting.. I won't even think about going there 90% of the time
<Jarvis> but once in awhile....
