Death Match Racing or as it’s better known as DMR, is a racing league that brings a different aspect of team play to Uniball. Unlike the other maps and leagues; there isn’t any scoring in this league. Sixteen racers and one referee enter the racing map. The racers are divided into four teams with four racers on each team. Their objective is not to be the last person to cross the finish line otherwise they will be named the loser and will be dismissed from that race. Blocking the opponent is a main aspect of this game. Teammates help each other eliminate the opposing color. But as it gets to the final rounds it becomes every racer for themselves. The winner is defined as the racer that beat out the other 15 racers.
DMR is comprised of a staff of well-trained, experienced referees that host races for the UB community. Races can happen at any time, but only a DMR referee may host it. All results from races are recorded onto the site so the community may view who the current leaders are, how many races have been hosted, who won the most races and other stats that can be found on the site. DMR is divided into seasons, usually lasting a month. At the end of each season is the All-Star race in which the top racers from that season compete to win the title of the DMR All-Star Racer. Once the All-Star race has been completed a new season begins and the leader board starts fresh. All the stats from the previous season are put into an archive for viewing by whoever chooses to do so.
DMR adds a different atmosphere to UB. If the other maps have become more than routine, come check us out. You can find us by typing /join DMR in BR. Remember all DMR races are password protected, so you need to be in the channel to compete. Enjoy your UB experience and have fun.
