The Weekly Uniball Tournament is a tournament designed to bring every player wanting to participate, a chance to play. Created by Lyx in December of 2002, the WUT was based off an ARC league called Saturday Night Live (SNL).
When a WUT is about to begin (generally at 6:30pm EST on Sundays), every participant will sign up to play. The first 24 people to sign up will be guaranteed a spot in the tournament. Those who sign up afterwards, will be added into a substitute pool. Therefore in case of an emergency in which a player cannot continue playing in the league, a sub can be used from the pool.
After all 24 participants have signed up, the player pool will be randomized and each player will be put into a team. In the tournament there are 8 teams, with 3 players in each team (Teams are identified by a number). When teams have been successfully created, the tournament may commence. Each team will play with the players assigned to it at random against the opposing teams (on the map "Hockey"). If a team loses, they are eliminated from the tournament (Single-Elimination). All in all there will be a total of 7 games in the tournament. The team that defeats all 3 of its opponents will reign as champion for that week.
When a team wins, each member of the team will be added into the Hall of Fame. Here other players can view the winners and MVP's of each tournament. MVP's are chosen from the winning team of the championship game, by the ref in charge of the current game. We hope to see your participate :)
