Why a map on your hard drive should be playable online

What is the point in having hundreds of maps on UniBall Central if you can't play them online? I mean, some people create maps for fun, but large numbers of people, including me, create them to be played. We want them to be played, not just looked at offline. Coolio tells me that this would ruin UniBall, because everyone would be playing shit maps. No they wouldn't! Fir one thing, you could have a 'standard maps' box where most ppl just choose a map, but the option of choosing a custom map off your hard drive would still exist. For another thing, why would people play shit maps? No one would end up joining the game because the map sucks, and people would simply not play them! I think it would add a hell of a lot to the game to offer the ability to play any map on your hard drive online, and add a lot more credebility to the map review section in UniBall Central :-) Just my rant for the day.
