You know what pissses me off most of all? Not the server, not BRChat being down, nothing that has to do with the people of UB.. No, they're doing a GOOD job right now, so don't knock them! Actually, this also brings me to the fact that people are always talking bad about the people who run UB. You have any idea how hard it is to run something like UB? I run a 40+ member internet gaming clan myself, and it's no picnic! So quit talking bad about them, C:\ especially!
Anyway, back to what makes me angry the most: The UB Veterans, or at least a few select few... (I, myself, am a Vet, but due to my phone line and modem lag problems, I only play like one about half the time...). They really make me angry! Some people think they have the right to walk all over everyone else because they're good! So what! Look at a lot of Pro-Sports players! They act like true blue heroes (Well, most do), and they're the best there is!
I hate it when Vets play ballhoggy. Don't get me wrong, they're good enough to maneuver through people and make the shot, but that's BAD TEAMWORK. That is egotistical, and shows that they can't play UB how it should be, with teams. I've heard many times that UB is a team game, that duels don't mean much (They do, just not as much as a team game). If it is a team game, then pass! I've seen people take it form the halfpoint on Miniball, with an awesome pass! But they keep it, try to make a goal, and lose it AND the point! In my opinion, an assist is better than a goal, because it shows you know how to win: By using your team! I can't stand it when the Vets play solo, it just shows how much of an ego they've got. I also dislike when the Vets talk about newbie squads. Someone else said (I think it was Wulfie) that "you were once a newbie too". All of you Vets were! Every single one of you was a newbie at once point! Did you like it when people said you sucked? I bet you didn't, so be supportive. If these "newbies" get good enough one day, you might be playing alongside them in your squad!
That's another thing that pisses me off.. Vets and their squads.. I've seen a couple members of the higher-ranking squads act like total asses because they're in that squad. You are a member of that squad, they could kick you out! Then where would you be? Squads are squads. Yes, it's a good way to be competitive (Which also ties in with the "Teams" idea I had awhile ago), but don't use it for bragging! You know how intimidating it is to have someone fom the #1 Squad (On Ladder) come and play against you? More intimidating than them telling you they're better! It makes people think bad of a squad when their members act like jerks, and it's usually the Vets that act like that...
Vets wonder why newbies act like they know everything.. It's because that's how you treat them! How else are they supposed to be able to play UB? All some Vets do is push them away, of COURSE they're going to be bitter!
